ABOUT US
OUR MISSION
The Friedman Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is a sanctuary where art, meditation, literature, and culture converge to heighten our awareness of the personal, historical, social, and cultural narratives that shape our world. We're on a mission to transform this vision into a captivating reality while prioritizing sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Our founders, Ibojka M. Friedman MFA, and Dr. Howard A. Friedman MD, epitomize our commitment to this mission. Ibojka, a seasoned studio artist, and Howard, a physician, have melded their two art forms, creating a new entity that embodies love, creativity, and self-reflection.
Ibojka's artistry, deeply rooted in her experiences, memories, and emotions, has been featured in prestigious collections across the country. Howard's journey from medicine to poetry has opened doors to explore vital energy, consciousness, and quantum physics.
Their shared passion birthed The Friedman Museum, driven by the profound power of love and a commitment to sustainability. We incorporate solar-powered technology and utilize recyclable materials in our construction efforts, while also preserving land to harmonize with the natural environment, including the conservation of 40 acres of surrounding land.
We invite you to join us on this inspiring journey, where life's complexities are celebrated, explored, and cherished sustainably. Together, we'll foster a profound connection with art, culture, and the intricate layers of existence. Thank you for being a part of our story.
